60 Years Commemorative Celebration
Orlando East and Orlando West Zones are busily preparing to host the upcoming FL-GA LWML Convention.
Keynote Speaker will be Reverend Dr. Robert Roegner, Executive Director of LCMS World Mission.
LWML President Jan Wendorf will be one of the speakers.

Rev. Eric (and wife Kera) Eichinger, past China Missionary and currently Associate Pastor of Faith, Eustis, FL
Pat Bilow, LWML Planner
Melissa Solomon, Heart to Heart Sister and missions in Mexico.

Music leader: Dale Clark
Servant Events on Friday will include several hands-on projects plus a blood drive.
Mission Pledge Walk will be held on Sunday morning. Pledge funds will be designated toward the 2008-2010 Mission Goal.

MISSION GRANT
APPLICATION DEADLINE

LWML Grant Proposal Application
Now is the time to prepare your Mission Grant Proposal and submit it for consideration. The deadline is March 15, 2008.
Criteria for Mission Grants:
1. Reach the unreached for Christ.
2. Be "mission" in emphasis, extending the ministry of the Word.
3. Emphasize outreach rather than in reach.
4. Fit into plans and projections fo the FL-GA District LCMS.
5. Be limited to mission grants where no adequate funding has been provided for in District or LCMS budgets.
6. Be current and ready for implementation.
7. Be well documented.
Ideas for Mission Grants:
1. Agencies, organizations and programs that help LWML members to serve, to grow, and to spread God's word.
2. Special ministries that meet specific needs of the under-privileged, aged, retarded, families, youth, etc.
3. Educational institutions of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, such as seminaries, schools, etc.
4. Facilities that serve as an instrument in extending the kingdom, such as day care facilities, preschools, etc.
5. "LCMS World Mission Project/Opportunities" (available from LCMS Board for Mission Services) and the LWML Mission Project Bank (available from the Mission Grants Chairman) provide a list of mission grants which have appropriate approvals and are ready for funding.
