 Beautiful Feet on a Beautiful Mission in Kenya Africa

Upon arrival home at Orlando Airport.
Marilyn H. Treanor, our District President, recently was part of a mission team of 8 U. S. women sponsored by LCMS World Missions to Kenya, Africa.

The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Kenya (ELCK) requested a team of women to work with other women in their church in the areas of Bible study, outreach, learning to be effective caregivers, and assisting in establishing self-help projects. The women from the United States were in Nairobi and surrounding areas to provide encouragement, leadership and training to women’s groups in the local churches. The trip had originally been planned for January, however the civil unrest in Nairobi forced postponement until March.
In addition to Marilyn’s current District position, she is an active member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Melbourne, FL, LWML Mission Ministry Vision Consultant and served as 2005 Tampa LWML National Convention Chairman.
