MITES
We are very excited to have this page on our website to keep you informed of the progress we are making in reaching our new goal of $163,000 which was voted upon during our convention in September 2009.
Mite receipts as of October 31 totaled $19,871.97--$4,967.99 for national, $11,923.18 for District mission grants, and $2,980.80 for District in-reach operations. This does not include convention offering #1, the convention mission walk, nor LWML Sunday and Prayer Service offerings, which total an additional $6,630.18 for District mission grants. What a great start for the first four months of the biennium!

As of August 31, 2009 the mites have grown to $83,272.74 : )
Sept. 22, 2009: With the deposit made yesterday, mites are up to $87,79.83. Can we break into $90,000 by the end of September? Should be close.
Oct. 22, 2009: Thank you so much, zone presidents and LWMLers, for helping put out the SOS for mites. I feel we are still behind for the biennium, but the checks arriving these past two weeks make it look very encouraging, especially if there are more "hold-outs" out there. One unit sent in mites for 2008 and 2009! After today's deposit, mite receipts will total $94,961.13. Praise the Lord!
Nov. 23, 2009: As of last week's deposit, mites broke through the $100,000 mark and now stands at $100,738.32. Praise the Lord! Next deposit will be made on Friday. My mailbox has been much fuller lately, so hopefully mites will be rising faster and we'll catch up to where we need to be to make our goal this biennium.
As of the end of February 2010, we have received $122,352.69 . Our goal for this biennium is $163,000. Let's all pull together and reach our goal. The biennium ends on June 30, 2010!
March 31, 2010 - With today's deposit, mites are at $129,829.51. That leaves a balance of $33,170.49 needed to make our goal of $163,000--or $11,056.83 a month for the next three months.
As of the 4/9/10 deposit, mites collected for the biennium are at $131,257.32. They are very slow in coming in. I keep waiting to be surprised, especially by those who had sent in nothing or little so far for the biennium.
May 17, 2010 -
As of today's deposit, mites stand at $141,532.67 for the biennium--$21,467.33 to go over the next 7 weeks to reach goal. Please keep mite giving and the mission grants in your prayers. The Love Scholarship Fund is also seeking funds to help our future pastors and church workers with their education costs. It has been a tough biennium financially, but God has blessed us richly so far with many wonderful mission service opportunities and helped us stretch our dollars and cents to accomplish much to extend His kingdom.
June 18, 2010: Today's total $151,948.68 . We are getting close, just a little over $11,000 needed.
With the Lord's blessings and the women of the district praying for and collecting mite offerings our goal will be met.
